The Recycling Advisory Group Scotland (RAGS) takes your privacy seriously. Please take some time to review the following Privacy Policy Use of the RAGS website and associated services implies acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of it please do not continue to use the website and services. This policy may change from time to time and you are deemed to have accepted the current version each time you visit www.rags.org.uk . If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via email at privacy@rags.org.uk . By visiting our website, you agree to the following:

•  Collection of IP address

RAGS collects information about the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer automatically when you use the Internet. This information is only collected in aggregate for visitors to the public area of our site (in other words, we do not monitor your individual usage of the site) and helps us monitor site traffic patterns in order to improve our service. For RAGS members who have registered to use our “Members area”, your IP address will be used to monitor your usage of the members area, to ensure it complies with the terms and conditions of your registration.

•  Use of Cookies

A cookie is a small data file that websites can write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file we set contains non-personal identifying information, such as a user ID, to track the pages you've visited or things you've seen and to pre-populate information on forms in and around our websites. We use cookies in some parts of our website to track your traffic patterns. We do this to determine how effective our navigational structure is, how people use our site, and which content is of the highest interest to visitors. We also use cookies to track URLs you may have clicked on to reach our site (through e-mail campaigns) and to recognize you upon your return in order to pre-populate information on our forms. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or cookie files created by other sites, and it will not harm any of the data on your hard drive.

If you prefer not to receive cookies from our website, you can set your browser to alert you about the presence of cookies and refuse them. You can also refuse all cookies from all websites by selecting the disable cookies option in your browser. Please note this may prevent you from accessing some secure areas of our website.
